«Elastic Boosting» promotion

Elastic boosting is a promotion where you can add and remove products without any restrictions. To join the promotion, set a minimum discount for the products. The bigger the discount, the higher the product position is in search results.

How the promotion works #

You are the one who manages the promotional boosting size: the bigger the discount, the higher the search position. Boosting example:

The approximate boosting size is indicated in the Promotional Boosting in Search column. The exact percentage of the search boost can be found on the promotion page.

The promotional discount size depends on the product category.The discount is calculated from the median product price over the last 30 days. When calculating the median, we do not take into account the product price in a promotion with the «Promo Codes» mechanics. If the product has participated in the «Elastic Boosting» promotion within the last 30 days, the discount is calculated from the previous promotional price, but it will be smaller than that from the non-promotional price before.

Example

Your product participated in «Elastic Boosting» at 750 rubles for 20 days and had a 40% promotional boosting.A 25% discount from the median price of 1,000 rubles was required for your category.

As a result, this promotional price became the median one: for a 40% promotional boosting, we will now request an additional discount of 2.5% instead of 25%.To get a 40% promotional boosting, set the price to 731 rubles.If you decide to keep the price at 750 rubles, the promotional boosting will drop to 38%.

Discounts on products in sale #

If a product with a minimum price is added to promotion, it’s price won’t decrease.

Manage promoted products #

A product can already participate in the promotion and get into auto-adding. Manage the current and future settings of a promoted product separately.

Manage products already participating in the promotion #

  1. In the Prices and promotions → Ozon promotions section, select the “Elastic Boosting. Unlimited period” promotion.
  1. On the Current tab:
    • change the discount amount in the “Discount from your price within this promotion” column;
    • change the product price in the “Promotional price” column;
    • add and delete products.

When changing price and discount amount, take into account the price range in the columns with boosting size: from the minimum to maximum one. The scale in the “Promotional boosting in search results” column shows the amount of boosting you get with a set price.

Manage products with delayed auto-addition #

  1. In the Prices and promotions → Ozon promotions section, select the “Elastic Boosting. Unlimited period” promotion.
  1. On the Will be added from (date) tab:
    • change the discount amount in the “Promotional discount from (date)” column;
    • change the product price in the “Promotional price from (date)” column;
    • delete products.
If you don’t delete the products till 23:59 the day before auto-addition date, they will participate in the promotion. Will be added from (date) tab will disappear, automatically added products will be highlighted in yellow.

When changing price and discount amount, take into account the price range in the columns with boosting size: from the minimum to maximum one. The scale in the “Promotional boosting in search results” column shows the amount of boosting you get with a set price.

Get additional benefits for completing targets #

Complete the daily target to increase the promoted products boosting the next day. To do this, keep the promotion sales level not lower than the value in the Prices and promotions -> From Ozon section.

Example

Your product participates in the “Elastic boosting. Unlimited period” promotion with the price of 750 RUB and has 15% promotional boosting. Today you have completed the sales target in global promotions, so the product will get 25% promotional boosting tomorrow.

We calculate the share of promotional sales using the formula:

The turnover of products in promotions is the total daily revenue from the products participating in global Ozon promotions.

The product should participate in the “Elastic boosting. Unlimited period” promotion.

Total turnover is your total daily revenue.

Example 1
Your product participates in the seller’s promotion at 200 RUB and in Ozon promotion at 150 RUB. The sale will be on Ozon promotion for 150 RUB and count towards the daily target.

Your product participates in the seller’s promotion at 150 RUB and in Ozon promotion at 200 RUB. The sale will be on seller promotion for 150 RUB and count towards the daily target.

You can track the target completion in the Prices and promotions -> From Ozon and Prices and promotions -> Product prices sections. The information is updated hourly:

  • Yesterday: your results for the previous day. If you completed the target yesterday, the competition percentage is highlighted in green, and if you didn’t, it’s red.
  • Today: your progress for the current day. Your progress percentage is highlighted in red until you complete the target. Once you complete it, the percentage value turns green. Completing a target today affects getting a boost tomorrow.
  • Click Download the achievement history to download a file with values for other days.

You can view all promotional sales in the sales report on the Analytics tab.

Example

On April 17, your share of promotional sales is 45%, and the target is 40%. This means that you’ve completed the target, and on April 18 the promoted products will receive an additional boost in search results.

To keep this boost on April 19, don’t remove products from the promotion and proceed with your April 18 target.
